From the Start menu, select Control Panel. In the Control Panel, double click on 'Programs and Features.' Give the window a while to fully populate, then scroll down and find 'Adobe Creative Suite 4' or 'Adobe Photoshop CS4' depending on the product that you installed, and click to select it. Once it has been selected, click the 'Uninstall/Change' button above, and follow the on-screen prompts. If you installed the complete Creative Suite and only want to remove Photoshop, there will be an option for that during the procedure.

To move from Photoshop 7 to CS4 will require a purchased full copy of Photoshop CS4 as there is no upgrade available for versions of Photoshop older than 8 - the first CS version.

When you install a new version of Photoshop do you have to uninstall your current one?

Nope, I still have 7, CS, and CS4 on my old desktop Mac. Though there are "upgrades" that come with certain deals, like the Wacom Tablet and CS4 bundle, you have to install the Photoshop version it comes with before installing the upgrade. Also, if you uninstall them it would clear up some space on your computer.

What is the best Photoshop for Graphic Design I've seen lots of versions and prices So which is the best one for someone who wants to try their hand at Graphic Design?

It depends on what you want to do. There are currently 4 versions of Photoshop: * Photoshop CS4 Extended * Photoshop CS4 * Photoshop Lightroom 2 * Photoshop 7 Elements (Mac version is 6) * Photoshop.com If you just want to "try your hand," at graphic design, then Photoshop CS4 Extended is a bit overkill for you needs. Photoshop Lightroom 2 is geared toward professional photographers, so that's not really what you would need either. That leaves Photoshop CS4, Photoshop Elements, and Photoshop.com. Of those, Photoshop CS4 is going to be the most expensive, and the most powerful. Photoshop.com offers a basic online photo editor, and from what I can tell is free. Photoshop Elements is somewhere between CS4 and .com in terms of power. I'd recommend trying out Photoshop.com, and if that doesn't suit your needs, to try Photoshop Elements or Photoshop CS4. Adobe provides free trials of both on their site.
