The first two Pokemon sent out are claydol and xatu. To defeat claydol you can either use water, grass, ice, bug, ghost or dark, I would recommend using a water type because that means you can use surf which will also do damage on xatu. To defeat xatu your best of using a electric, ice, rock, ghost or dark. I would not use a electric type because it weak againist claydol and claydol will just knock your electric Pokemon out with earthquake. So try use a dark or ice type Pokemon, I would recommend using a flying type Pokemon for example I used pelipper and gyarados that way claydols earthquake will have no effect.
For defeating lunatone and solrock I would recommend using water types on both of them, do not use fire types against any of them. Both of them are also week against grass and steel types.
