Block list
From Accounts->Privacy Settings you can edit your block list for this purpose.
I think if you block a person on facebook, he/she is removed from the friends list.
Blocking of facebook is not easy if you don't have an application level firewall( untangle linux box, or "WFilter Enterprise" like software). However, there are several solutions you can try: 1. Block facebook in dns server with "opendns". 2. Block facebook server ip address ranges. 3. Because facebook also supports https access, you also need to block https login of facebook. You can use WFilter's "https black/white list" to block it.
Do you mean block or delete? If you delete them, they will not appear on your friends list, however they will not be told that you have deleted them; they will just not be able to find you on their list. If you block them, however, I think that you will still appear as a friend on their facebook friend list, but they will not be able to make any comments or anything on things you post on your profile. So think carefully!! and why are you blocking them if they are your friend?!
Log into Facebook. In the upper right hand corner move the mouse on the button called 'Settings'. It will bring down a drop-down menu, in it click on 'Privacy Settings'. It will then bring up the list of people that you have blocked.
Go on ACCOUNT...... then PRIVACY SETTINGS..... then click on BLOCK LIST and the list of people you blocked will appear then you can choose to UNBLOCK any of the people you have already blocked
