Not sure if this correct way, here goes

1. We have 212oF and 32 oF this gives 180 degree interval

2. Whereas 100oC and 0oC this gives 100 degree interval

The relationship between Fahrenheit and Celsius is taking the difference from above 180/100 = 9/5 this gives:

9/5(oC) ……eq 1

We know that Fahrenheit scale sets the temperature of ice point at 32oF and the Celsius scale is set at 0oC therefore we need to add the difference of (0o + 32o) = +32o.

Let's convert 100oC to Fahrenheit, using eq 1 we get 9/5(100) = 180o now to get to 212oF we need to add 32 for reason given above, which then equals 212oF the complete equation is given below:

F = 9/5(oC) +32
