Ok, need to take down the steering column underpanel. Then you want to ground out the factory alarm disarm wire. Normally, you would insert the key in the drivers door, turn left, then right to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning, you can disable it for good by doing the following: The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS lt.grn/blk/ sil dots |-|anti-theft module, The Anti-theft module located to left of steering column. Says Theft Warning on module. Once Located, splice into this wire with a similar guage wire, and put it to a solid chassis ground. This terminates the alarm functions entirely. My system has locked up as well, after repairs. If you have code, you can disconnect battery to reset entry screen. If you don't have code you have to go to dealer. Local dealer said there is two different radios in that year. They can fix one for free but the other has to be connected to a machine. But they can disarm it.
Behind the glove box on the right hand side is the anti-theft box and then just unplg it.Remove the fuse. Removing the fuse doesn't work. The alarm still operates,only no,it operates when you are driving the car. the alarm will go off with no reason or warning. additionally, the door locks won't work to turn off the alarm, you must use the keychain

The control box is located in the trunk area, were the rear speaker are located. Just left of center is the control box for the security system. Remove the multi-wire plug, this should disarm the alarm system. You don't have to remove the anti-theft relays under the hood, you only need to disconnect the anti-theft unit in the back as instructed above.
Underneath your steering column you will find the Security Control unit. You may change the setting to manual to no longer use the alarm. You can also change it from horn to siren if you don't have a siren. I just removed the whole thing. Hopefully this helps.
