You cannot bypass or reset the Securilock anti-theft system on a 99 Ford Ranger. If the system begins to malfunction and you can no longer start the vehicle, you will likely need to replace the transponder unit that is located behind the ignition in the steering column.
put door key in passenger door turn it to the left and hold it this should de-activate the theft system
its an anti theft system that uses a hall effect sensor to send a resistance value to a part of the ignition system in some gm vehicles

The only way to reset the code on a 2004 Nissan Maxima's anti theft system is by taking it to the dealership.
Yes, with the exception of the 5-speed GXE.
hit it with a large hammer
When you have to reset the anti-theft device on a 2004 Nissan Maxima you should take it to the dealership where they can do it by hooking your car to the computer.
The only way to disconnect the anti theft of any maxima from year 89-94 would be to disconnect the relay that is marked as anti theft it is in the relay box to the right or the left fender. Also, after doing this remember to disconnect the battery for about half a day to a day. afterwards, connect the battery prongs back in place and remember to replace the relay that you disconnected this will eliminate the computer's memory. If this doesn't work than the next solution would be to take it to the agency and have them disconnect the whole anti-theft system or having them find the correct code to access the doors without any hassle. answer#2. I have a 1993 Nissan Maxima. my anti-theft went off and would not let my car start. I tried pulling the relay and fuses still would not work. Nissan wanted $150.00 to remove the anti-theft unit which any one can do them self. just pull off the bottom half of the driver side dash . there is a white box marked anti-theft with another box, disconnect the two plugs that go into them and remove the two screws that hold the bracket into place and your factory anti-theft is no longer a problem.
To disable the anti-theft in a 2000 Nissan Maxima, put the key into the ignition, but only turn it halfway. Leave it in this position for several minutes and start the car.
The control box is located in the trunk area, were the rear speaker are located. Just left of center is the control box for the security system. Remove the multi-wire plug, this should disarm the alarm system. You don't have to remove the anti-theft relays under the hood, you only need to disconnect the anti-theft unit in the back as instructed above. This solution also works for a 1988 Nissan Maxima.
First, disarm the theft deterrent system. Then you can power off and disconnect it.
Check for spark. Your system might have an ignition cut off.
The anti-theft fuse under the hood next to the battery seems to have done the trick.
