Disconnect the battery and the wire has a conector on it . undo clip and slide apart .

Probably the best way would be to disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds or so. That usually clears any "codes" in the computer. It does in my car anyways.

Not sure if the 2005 is the same as the 2006 model but the only way I know is to disengage both airbag plugs under each seat. No beep but also no airbag.
