∙ 12y agoYour flag should first have the stars field cut from the strips.Then it is no longer a flag.It should then be burned with the proper respect given to it.Most American legion or VFW handle this chore with dignity and will happily take care of this for you.

∙ 12y agoThe two proper ways of disposing of an old, worn flag are burying it, or (ironically) burning it separately (not in a bag full of other garbage). Many people give old, worn-out flags to groups like the VFW or the Boy Scouts for proper disposal.
