I have the same problem. Today I absent mindedly put petrol into my diesel corsa (also a 2004 model) I was quoted £250 from some company the RAC put me in touch with. Sod that! (There are cheaper ones out there).
I got the RAC to tow me home. Tomorrow I will disconnect the fuel line under the bonnet where it goes into the filter. Connect a bit of pipe to the fuel line and turn on the ignition (not cranking the engine). I think there is a submerged pump in the fuel tank. I hope that this will empty the tank into some jerry cans. Then I will flush some clean diesel through the system. Fill the tank up and keep it topped up for a few weeks. I hope this will dilute the petrol enough not to matter. One problem is what to do with 40 liters of contaminated petrol. Start a big fire :-)?
I have got water in the diesel fuel on my bmw 32o d 2004 model how do I drain it off
hi, can anybody help. Does anybody out there know the best way to drain the petrol tank on a renault espace 2004
Petrol 2.5Ltr every 60,000Kms or 48 months Diesel 2.9Ltr every 30,000Kms or 24 months
yes
you will have to drain the gas tank and flush the gas line with a gas line conditioner that you can get at a auto parts store.
On the back.
Diesel is not quite as dangerous for a gas engine as is gas in a Diesel. Still, it is still very unhealthy, so one must drain the fuel tank either through siphoning(not recommended) or by draining the Diesel fuel into an appropriate container throught the drainage outlet.

Where is my drain ncock for my 2004 Hyundai Accent?
The filter is located near the driver's side fire wall. Has the yellow drain on the bottom of it. It is on the driver side of the engine, it has a large plastic screw off cover. Be sure to drain the can with the yellow drain handle when changing filter.
