Clams and other molluscs draw in water containing food using an incurrent siphon. The food is then filtered out of the water by the gills and swept toward the mouth on a layer of mucus. The water is then expelled from the animal by an excurrent siphon.

First take the clam grab a chainsaw and shred it to bits so when you have the little bits, glue then to your butt more taste.Then freeze them for 2 weeks then leave out in the sun for 9 years .Once thats done put in hypor millenium tazer and electricute them for 1 year that throw them away cause that would be gross.Thanks

you can find lots of recipes on epicurious. they are a pretty reliable website. otherwise, simple is best. once cleaned of grit, soak a couple hours in fresh water and scrub w steel wool/pot brush, you can steam with ginger and sesame oil for an Asian flavour. toss in a hot pan with olive oil, garlic, chilli, fresh chopped parlsey and serve on pasta for as a vongole style dish. even simmer with butter, cream, white wine, shallots and cracked pepper and serve with crusty bread in the french style.

I guess you are talking about how to prepare the crab, for eating it. Here is the answer.

First cut off the legs. Now crack the main body, by lightly tapping at the centre. Slowy shell the body. Cut off the eyes, feather shaped gills and a few other parts that you find not worthy to be cooked. Split the inner body in half. Scoop out the fat inside the body. Keep aside. Trim out the narrow ends of the thin legs. Crack the thicker legs a little.Wash the shelled crab body and legs. Smear the crab with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric and keep to drain on a colander.

Heat 4 tsp of oil (sunflower or mustard) in a wok. When oil smokes shift in the crabs. Fry for 4-5 minutes on medium flame. Shift the fried crabs on a plate. Heat 5 tsp of oil in the same wok. When oil smokes fry 4 tbsp of onion paste, 1 tsp garlic paste,1 tsp of ginger paste and 1 tsp of cumin powder. Add 1 chopped tomato and the fat kept aside. Fry all till brown. Add 1 cup of water. When it starts to boil add the fried crabs. Stir till the gravy dries up and clings to the crab.Shut off the heat. your crab is ready to eat.

You have to shell the crab and scoop out the flesh in your own style when eating.

They can be steamed in the shell, boilded (not recommended) or placed in a barbecue-style grill. They can also be removed from the shell with a clam or oyster knife and cooked outside of the shell (fried or chopped into a fritter). Overcooking a clam is the worst idea. As soon as the shell opens when heated, the clam is ready to be consumed. More cooking only makes the clam taste like rubber and very chewy. Never cook a clam that is open. Being open means it is dead and likely to be toxic.
