How do you encourage a guy to ask you out?

Like all people, guys are afraid of rejection. Why don't you try asking him out instead? Most guys dig that and it really makes you stand out. He'll feel special because you were so interested in him that you stepped up. ---- I agree, don't wait for him - if you really like him then ask him if he'd like to get a cup of coffee or something like that. I wouldn't ask for a dinner date at first, something simple. Something that friends might do.. then see how that goes. GOOD LUCK! And report back to us : )

Get a friend to tell him that you like him, but don't ask him out. Wait til he comes to you. ;)

No offense to that answer, but it's probably not the best way to go. What really helps, at the end of some conversations say, "We should hang out sometime," and make sure he gets your number, if you have one. Also, talk to him in front of his friends, and kind of ignore them unless they talk to you directly, if they say, "Why's she here?" ignore them. Soon he'll ask you. It also helps, if he feels awkward with you, it's because he's nervous, not because he doesn't like you. Ask him if you can both bring some friends. Then he'll feel more relaxed, and he'll have an excuse, "It was her idea!" It also gives him some proof for his friends, haha. I think, one of the most important things are feeling comfortable with his friends. That's a winner.
