How do you equip an extra in Lego Indiana Jones?

There are three steps.

1. First, you have to find the associated parcel in a level of game play. Almost all of them are only available during free play with the use of special characters. When you find the parcel, there is usually a mail box nearby. You need to drop it in the mailbox so it will be delivered to you back at Bartlett College.
2. Next, you have to purchase the extra by checking your mail back at Bartlette College. The more useful the extra, the more expensive it will bee.
3. Finally, you have to activate the extra in the extra menu. You're extras have to be re-activated every time you play.
