a gargantuar is big. gargantuar is 2x to explosion like the cherry bomb,doom shroom,jalepanio,and potato mine use them to kill gargantuar or use the squash.But just use the potato mine really cheap.

if you mean without cob cannons,cherry bombs,potato mines,doom-shrooms,jalapeños,squash,and any other explosive it will take effort.build a strong defense.if it is only one gargantuar and nothing else a single winter melon can do it.if you looked for any method simply use two explosives

Best way to beat it is get alot of gattling peas and a firewood or you could use that melon guy who throws melons get the upgrade too.
