If you wish to make a PowerPoint presentation, you need to purchase the program PowerPoint.

∙ 15y agoTo create a shortcut to PowerPoint on your desktop, do so by one of the following ways:
# Go to Start > Programs and locate the shortcut you usually use to open PowerPoint. Right-click on this and choose Send To and the Desktop (create shortcut). # Open My Computer and browse to the .exe for PowerPoint: usually under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office XX (10 for Office XP, 11 for 2003, 12 for 2007). Locate POWERPNT.exe and right-click on it, choose Send To and choose Desktop (create shortcut). To rename any shortcut, right-click and choose Rename and type in your choice of label.

∙ 12y agoYou could buy the Microsoft office suite, which can run for more than $100, or you could download a free office suite (which is completely leagal I might add) from openoffice.org.
If you have Microsoft Office already installed, click the Start button at the lower left corner of your screen, go to Programs and move across to Microsoft Office, then select PowerPoint.
When you go to Programs, if the full menu does not come up, move across and click on the double arrows pointing down. If you use this program frequently, you can create a shortcut on the desktop by simply "right-clicking" on PowerPoint. Then select "Create Shortcut" from the menu, and follow instructions. You can do this for any application in the Start menu.

∙ 14y agoYou have to have a Microsoft Office install disk (for either Mac or PC). Just put in the install disk and it should take you through the steps from there.
