Check out its official website and pay attention to the accreditation and licensing section.
People usually have the myth that online colleges are not legitimate or their degrees are not real. It's true that some of the online schools are not real schools offering accredited degrees. Also, distance learning with no physical campus makes people doubt the reliability of online schools. Therefore, the real accredited online colleges try extremely hard to prove their accreditation in order to distinguish themselves from other fake online colleges. That is why those accredited online schools usually have a large section emphasizing their accreditation and licensing.
After you see the accreditation on their official websites, check to see if that accrediting agencies is reliable or it is just an degree mills agency. Reliable agencies would be recognized by Council for Higher Education Accreditation. After you are certain that agency is real, be sure to double check with the accrediting agency to see if the school is really accredited by them.
No a friend of mine tried and it HAS to be accredited, but even one that's accredited is looked at as a Tier 2 diploma (meaning GED).
diploma mill
is the nation high school diploma fully accredited
I am looking for a accredited high school diploma program that are accept at community colleges in the state of Mississippi
As far as I know, it is the same as a regular high school diploma. I am currently getting my diploma from Penn Foster, but I did my homework before enrolling. First I called a college in my town and asked if they would accept the diploma. They directed me to the Department of Education's website to see if it was accredited. (they would accept the diploma as valid if it was accredited) So, go to www.ed.gov. On the far right of the site click on " Accreditation" Then there is a link to find accredited schools. Follow through to " Click here to begin your search" Type in Penn Foster, and you will see that is it listed as accredited. I also tried it with Stratford Learning Institute(tuition was cheaper), and it was NOT accredited. I hope that wasn't too boring and good luck getting your diploma!
Irvine University, the on-line university in California is a non-accredited diploma mill.
