You pour the liquid into a calibrated container. You can use a measuring jug or cylinder or a burette. Smaller quantities can fit into a measuring spoon.

### How do you find density of a liquid?

To find the density of a liquid, you must find its mass and
volume. To find the mass, use a triple beam balance, put the liquid
into a container, weigh it, subtract the weight of the container,
and that is how to get the mass. Then, to find the volume, use a
graduated cylinder, put the liquid into the container, and then
find the mark where the liquid line lands, and that is your volume.
Then, divide your mass by your volume, and there is your density in
grams per centimeter cubed (g/cm3).
