There were two variations, the 'Off-Hand Shot Gun' made from 1923-1929 and the ' Auto-Shot' made from 1929-1934. There is no specific breakdown by serial number, since the serials were intermixed with the #35 pistol. Please note that this firearm was placed under the control of the National Firearms Act in 1934. They had to be registered with the government at that time. Any of these guns that were NOT registered are contraband and can not be legally possessed or sold. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Stevens guns were made at the plant in Chicopee Falls, Mass. Guns made from 1864 to 1886 will be marked J. STEVENS & CO. From 1886 to 1916 they were marked J. STEVENS A & T CO or J. STEVENS ARMS & TOOL CO. No Stevens firearms were manufactured from 1916 until 1920 when Savage Arms purchased the facilities and name. From 1920 until 1942 (or '48) Savage marked guns J. STEVENS ARMS CO and after that simply STEVENS or STEVENS/SAVAGE. The Stevens name was discontinued in 1991.

You probably have a Mk. I pistol, manufactured circa 1958. If this is the case, it would be a semi-auto pistol, chambered in .22 Long Rifle.
If manufactured prior to 1969, it doesn't have one.
Stevens was in business from 1864-1950. They did not have a "pocket pistol" model, but DID make a "pocket rifle" model from 1869-1916. Am aware of no specific production data based on serial numbers.

1964
If it was manufactured before 1968 it probably doesn't have one.
