Open the tailgate, remove the two rubber stoppers seen as you look up at the tailgate look into the holes you will see two plastic pegs, get a screwdriver and push the peg or pegs across to the right or is it left (not too hard) and the back half of the light will unlatch from the front half(the red half) this will now lift out from the outside and you should be able to see the lower half in the space now left, which also will now lift out far enough for you to disconnect the plug. Refitting is the reverse of removal
