If by "partial image", you mean that part of the screen is no displayed, use the knob / setting that looks like two squares on top of each other to move the image back into alignment.
If you mean that it displays an image even when that object is nothing there, you are suffering from the effects of burn-in. Burn-in may correct itself over time. To try to fix it faster, you will want a display of nothing but pure white on the screen, and leave it sitting for several hours, or even days.
If the text or images on your CRT monitor are blurry, you can try adjusting the resolution. You can also try different combinations of resolution sizes and refresh rates.
A CRT Monitor can support many output resolutions without losing quality of the image. But LCDs only support lower resolutions by interpolating the image, which makes it look "fuzzy".
As LCD display technology improves, it now beats CRT for clarity and image stability. CRT based computer monitors are no longer mass produced and existing CRT monitors are usually several years old. As they age, the image becomes softer so there will be few CRT displays that can compare with a modern LCD screen.
