I do not
You didn't say what kind of light which would have been a good clue. If a fluorescent it could be a bad tube or bulb, a bad starter or a bad ballast. If an incandescent light could be a loose connection or a disconnected filament that is making intermittent contact due to vibrations.
you fix the light on the ceiling fan by puting a new light bulb in your fan
I may emit a bad odor due to a malfunction or deterioration of my internal components. It is recommended to have me checked and serviced by a professional technician to identify and fix the issue causing the bad smell.
To fix a burned out light on the driver's climate control switch in a 2002 Chevy Impala, you will need to access the climate control unit, remove it from the dashboard, and replace the light bulb with a new one. This may involve taking apart the center console to access the climate control unit. It's recommended to consult the vehicle's manual or seek professional help if you are unsure about the process.
You have a faulty switch in the base of your indicator/light stalk. This switch wears out with use so the lights can flip easily to High beam from Low Beam. The fix: Replace the switch assembly and stalk.
Just plug it in the socket
The recepticle could be a GFI ( ground fault interuptor) which needs to be reset. The circut breaker might have tripped, or you could have a bad plug-in. All are pretty easy to fix. Now if it is a light socket, it could be a bad switch, a tripped circut breaker or a bad light socket.
To fix a light bulb socket that is not working properly, first turn off the power to the fixture. Then, check for any loose connections or corrosion in the socket. If necessary, replace the socket or the entire fixture. Be sure to follow safety precautions and consult a professional if needed.
Turn signals that do not work is almost always, a blown fuse, bad bulb, corroded socket, or a defective flasher relay. If the lights come on but do not flash, it is the flasher relay. If the light does not come on, the bulb is bad or the socket is corroded. If one light flashes very fast then your front/rear light may be burnt out. If no lights come on, then your fuse is blown.
What's wrong with it? No light, no electricity to the bulb socket, loose in ceiling...? Radioman
Check all electrical connections as well as the lamp socket for dirt or connectivity. Chances are that the connections are loose or the tabs in the socket need to be adjusted.
I've been cleaning the tab contact with sandpaper and bending it upward slightly. Then I jammed a small piece of aluminum foil between the side of the lamp and the socket as I push it in. This fix has been working for a month or so at a time.
Just because the socket is good doesnt mean it has a good positive or ground. This would be the first place to start with a test light, or a OHM Meter. The socket may have erroded contacts down in the bottom preventing the current from getting thru.
What do you mean fix lights? which lights? Are the lights not working or does it have a broken lens. If the light doesn't work, have you checked the bulb? Is it burnt out? Is the socket in good working condition? Did you use you test light to see if it has power? Is the fuse good?
change the socket the bulb fits in.. can be purchased at pepboys autozone etc
Did you check to see if you actually had power to the light socket? Old cars are bad for having bad grounds. Check and clean the light "Housing" connections first if you have power to the socket. The housing and body will sometimes corrode just enough to lose the ground. Just loosening and re-tightening the bolts will some times fix it. When you check for power make sure you use more then one place for a ground. Make sure the fuse connections are nice and clean as they can get a real fine layer of corrosion and then you won't get a connection there either.
Loose or corroded socket? Bad ground?
