small hole in the tank or in lines ..even rusted lines
your mechanic would have to install new brake lines.
If it is dangling then most likely the hinge pin has rusted away. Take the assembley out and then you should be able to pop out the rusted remains of the hinge pin and use a small nail as a new pin. that is what i did to fix mine.
Start with diagnosing the cause of no fuel. Check fuse, fuel pump relay, fuel filter, fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator, fuel gpm flow, damaged/pinched fuel lines. Once you have determined the cause you can fix it.
Check your fuel lines for a leak.
If your refurring to the fuel pump then yes, there is a gasket for it.
i had the same problem and i found out that my fuel lines where mixed up and/or your overflow screw may be on so try tightening that
My 1994 had the same problem I had removed the tank to fix a rusted fuel line and pinched the wiring harness when I reinstalled it or maybe the fuel pump is headed south hope this helps
Replace
Need to park on clean surface and see if it leaks while running or when parked, or both. Then need to see where it is. If under gas tank, could be rusted tank or lines, if between motor and tank, rusted lines or cracked filter maybe. Closer to engine, have someone look for leak to track it down.
You have exhaust leak where the pipe rusted through and this makes the loud noise. You can go to a parts store and get a exhaust repair kit to fix the hole. This is only a temporary fix and might not be enough to fix the repair. Otherwise, you have to go to a muffler shop so they can replace the rusted section.
The fuel filter is located in the rear of the car. It will be between 2 hoses which are the fuel lines. Now the lines on my 91' Cavalier were all rusted, so I took a hack saw and cut on both sides of the filter. Then, I unscrewed the lines from the filter and placed them on the new one. Then went and bought some rubber hoses and some clamps and just clamped them together.
