That would depend on what is wrong with the transmission. Repairing an A/T or a Manual transmission is a repair that requires skill, knowledge, and training, in other words a professional. Take it to a trusted independent or Saturn dealer. Avoid chain transmissions shops. As you don't state the problem, about all you can do yourself is change the fluid and filter if you have the skill to accomplish this. If you are experiencing rough shifting or hesitation, change the fluid and filter or have it done.
Automatic: It is located above the transmission fluid filter on the front of the transmission. Manual: There is no Transmission fluid trmperature sensor for the Manual transaxle
Which lights are lit? What do they say? There are many warning lights
do a 99 Saturn sl2 have a transmission pan gasket
Yes, the transmissions are the same...
You don't "pour" it in. Saturn uses a "sealed" transmission, meaning that you don't check the fluid level using a dipstick. There is an access hole on the side of the transmission.
I just changed the relay on my 99 sc2. It is a standard shift and i found the relay by following the wires from the cluch pedal safety switch. But basically on the 99 it is up under the dash on the drivers side taped to the wire harness. It was covered in black electrical tape.
99 percent sure there is NO oil reset procedure for the '97 sc models. If your oil light is on it is bc you are LOW on oil. Add oil immediately
No it does not. Most manual transmissions don't even require a fluid change, but it can't hurt. Capacity for the Saturn is 2.6 quarts
Don't complain; if the engine isn't leaking coolant that just means everything is sealed up properly.
a low brake pedal indicates worn brake pads and shoes.have then replaced
Yes, the front ends should be identical.
Red cylinder? You mean the transmission filter? Is the fluid red? Eric
