Since you didn't state your age and dose amount, I'll try to explain while keeping it short enough to read.

Studies have shown that long term use of Adderall (or any of the amphetamine/dextroamphetamine family) can cause growth stunts for children. So if your still growing, but not as fast as "necessary" or are unable to gain weight, I might have to shrug my shoulders and say ask your physician.

If you are of the more mature breed, well older not necesarily more mature, it may be an issue of desire to eat. Amphetamines (legal and illegal) have a tendency to lower the desire to eat, no matter how hungry you are. So make sure you eat 3 full meals a day, and snack gently as well, regardless if you don't feel hungry. If you are eating healthy and correctly, but are still unable to gain weight, contact your physician as you may need a dosage change or may need to change to a different, but similar type of medications.
