Like the old games, your going to have to go to celadon(through the underground passage west of Lavendar town), beat team rocket in the game corner and get silph scope, finish Pokemon tower and save the spirit of the Marowak, get the poke Flute from Mr.Pokemon and then use the flute to wake up Snorlax.

he will give you a pokeflute.now go where snorlax is located (route 12 and
route 16)use the poke flute and snorlax will woke up.your going to battle him.
defeat him and the next path is open. or you could catch him which i would recommend

∙ 13y agoon your radio go on poke flute and keep it on then talk to snorlax and will wake up. then either catch it, knock it out or run i would recommend catching it
