How do you get a action replay on your ds?

After you've tried using it blow on the inserted part of the action replay and in the ds card holder and try it again. If that doesn't work make sure you insert the action replay before you turn on the ds, which usually works best and try to be patient because some times it might not work the first time.

Thanks for the answer but what i ment was I try to connect my ar to the computer and it says it malfunctioned but if i enter codes manually they work. I don't have vista

At your local retail store or through internet, you need to purchase the Action Replay device for your handheld. Once bought, insert the device into the Nintendo DS Game Slot and power your device on. You are greeted by the Action Replay menu. Then insert your game into the Action Replay's slot for the device to read it, and provide you with pre-recorded hacks. You can add new hacks by researching numeric/alphabetical codes that you must manually input into the device through the touch screen pad.

Put in the action replay but not the game. Then go to the game list and press 'ADD NEW GAME'. Enter the game name. Then, on the label of the game is a code in very small print. Enter that code, press continue and poof new game. Then of course you have to enter the cheats.
