Well, you can't actually get a girlfriend... you can only get a wife or spouse...

To get a spouse or wife, you must...

• have upgraded your house untill you can't get anymore upgrades (like 1st upgrade, bathroom, basments.. and so on)

• have activated all the heart events of that girl you want to marry.

• have given a whole bunch of gifts she likes until her heart color is red.

• have more than 60,000 Love points.
• have the Big Bed
• have rescued at least 60 harvest sprites.

After you have completed all these requirements, the girl you want to marry should have a orange heart on the bottom right corner when you talk to her. Now call Karen's shop(the Supermarket) and the blue feather should be available, so BUY IT. Unless you don't have any money... THEN EARN SOME. Then give the marriageable girl the blue feather and voila! Give em gifts. That's how I do it. But everyone has dislikes and Likes. SO I'm pretty sure if you look up codes and cheats (for harvest moon magical melody) It'll give you a list of the people of the town (and future people) And their likes and dislikes. Give them their likes.

After you see the pregnant event you and your spouse will go the church about a week after the event, and then you pray to the goddess for a girl or a boy or you can choose to pick "I don't have a favorite"

You can not get a boyfriend because you must play as a male character. So you can only woo female characters. The guys in town can only be your friends.

You never get an official girlfriend. All you can do is go straight to marriage.

To do that you must complete all the marriage requirements and then propose with the Blue Feather.

The requirements are:

Buy the Double Bed

Have eight Hearts with the girl

Have at least 30 Musical Notes

In every town as soon as you move in there is always ALWAYS someone who likes you. You can tell because the like food (Im pretty sure that's 100% of the time...) and they always talk to you and say "Umm... (Nick name) I...uhhh...Nevermind...WAAHHHH!!!...Its nothing" and then they walk away.

If they say "You love me, you love me not, you love me, you love me not" say "You love me NOT" and they say "Stop joking around and then say Ok I love you and they said "I knew it you love me!"

Always send them messages and wave at them by clicking on them, talk to them heaps!

When that person talks to a girl they might say, "Hey (name of person) its (You name) you can finally tell her!" and they person says "...What do you mean? I have nothing to say" and she/he says "are you sure you have nothing to say?" and then he/she says "yes..uhhh...I have to go"
