Start with letting the hamster sniff your fingers, then touch the hamster, stroke it gently then pick up slightly. Do this over a period of 1 week. Eventually, your hamster will love you!!!!! mine used to attack me, but slowly wean them on to loving you!

∙ 15y agoplay with it and hold it as much as possible. if you are planing to get a mouse: leave the mouse in the cage for the first 2 days and on the 3rd put ur hand in the cage palm up. let the mouse crawl over it. DON'T TRY TO GRAB IT WHEN IT CRAWLS ON!put food in ur hand and let it eat on ur hand still in the cage.. this may take some time so read or watch t.v while ur waiting. once it does this comfortably pick it up, if it seems scared put it back and try again in ten minutes.
