I recently had the same problem with my 30.30 lever action. I found on mine that the problem was in the loading door where you put the bullets in. I loosened the straight screw that holds door on allowing the action to free up.The screw over time becomes loose allowing the gun to jam while working the action . I now check this screw often. Hope this information helps.
