Where do you find Metal Coat in Pokemon X and Y?

I'll tell you one thing the metal coat can be used for:attatch it to a certain Pokemon and trade it with somebody and it'll evolve.Here are two Pokemon I know that can evolve by a metal coat:onix and syther.

Metal CoatFirst of all obtain the national dex by seeing all the Pokemon in the Sinoh region (a list of where to find all pokemom can be found on http://Pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/walkthrough/ in section 8.6 down at the bottom of the page. Then go to Canalave City west of Jubilfe City. Go into the house next to the dock with the sailor who can take you to Iron Island. Talk to boy and his mother in the house then go out side and talk to the sailor. He will tell you you need to get the lunar wing to awaken the boy from his nightmare. then go to full moon island go up the path until you spot a Cressielia. go up to it and press A. it will show you a picture of the Pokemon but you won't fight it. It will run off and will appear on the marking map just like Mesprit. It will leave the lunar wing behind. Go pick it up and speak to the sailor to go back to the mainlnd. go into the sailors house again and talk to the boy. You will heal him with the lunar wing. Go back and talk to the sailor oustide. Go to Iron Island again, then go up the stairs and go into the house. Talk to the man inside and he will give you the metal coat. Give it to Scyther and trade it to some one and then back. It will evolve upon doing this. The metal coat can be used the same way to evolve an onix into steelix.

Wild Steelix, Bronzor, Bronzong, Beldum, and Magnemite also have a 5% chance of holding one.

YOU REALLY DON'T NEED TO DO ALL OF THATTHE ACTUAL THING YOU NEED TO DO IS JUST GET THE NATIONAL POKEDEX AND GO TO IRON ISLAND AND TALK TO BYRON INSIDE THE HOUSE YOU DON'T NEED TO TALK TO CRESELLIA

to get metal coat its found on the ground in wish cave f70 - f79 theres only about one between those floors

In Pokémon X and Y, the item called Metal Coat can be found inside the Poké Ball Factory, which is near Laverre City.

To get extras, you need to get them from Pokémon that have a low chance of having them when you catch them in the wild. The Magneton found in the Lost Hotel (and on Friend Safaris), as well as Metang and Bronzong (Friend Safari only) have been reported to carry them occasionally, having a low (5%) chance of carrying that item. This chance is increased to 20% if you have a Pokémon with the ability Compound Eyes leading your Party.
