Remove two 8mm head bolts that hold the starter on. They are located on the left front side of the ATV and run through the drive belt housing. Right below the air duct to the air cleaner. You then have to stand the ATV on its back end, the grab bar, and remove the front motor mount bolt. It is best to use chain hoist to raise the frame and allow the motor to drop down a couple of inches. you will have to pry it down. There is no danger of it falling or etc. You remove the starter from underneath. It takes some wiggling and prying but it will come out.

You then have to take this to a Suzuki dealer to find out the year and model of your unit. The ID of my Suzuki 250 Quadrunner 4x4 1992 is JSAAJ45A1N2100642. Hope this helps.
