I have mid length hair but all my friends have long hair so its easier to get beach waves but i have two ways of getting it
1. You could take 2 or 3 braids and put them in a shower cap ( its more comfy to sleep) and go to bed taadaa this is for more wooah curls
2. take a high ponytail and on the last twist of the band only take the hair halfway. then take another band and squash the bun into a messy bun. wear a shower cap and go to bed. taadaa this is 4 cooler, frizzier curls and i prefer them
