My sister tried to put a seam in a zip-lock baggy. . . With my hair straightener. I reheated it and then used olive oil to get most of it off. After that I used a spoon and scraped morw off. I have to wait for it to cool, then I'm just going to try and peel it, hoping the oil has seeped in enough to loosed it.
have you tried taking a knife and pushing it under the plastic to lift it off?
To take apart a Chi straightener first make sure it is off and unplugged. Use a putty knife to remove the plastic Chi cover by inserting the edge of the knife under the plastic and push it up. Remove the screws under the plastic piece. Pull apart the two halves.
Put a band-aid over it, and when asked say you burnt it with a straightener.
After the straightener has cooled down, use a comb or any pointed object and scrap it off. Additionally, if you are very careful, you can use a sharp scraper to scrape it off. A razor blade will work well if used at a very low angle and with a great deal of precision.
When its off you can take a washcloth and get it damp then clean it off, wipe of the water. If its a serious problem there should be a warranty on it depending what type of straightener
peel it slowly under hot water ,then deal with the blister lol
If you can smell burnt plastic then you could potentially be in danger. Smoke from burning plastic can be harmful to breathe.
No, it may be the heat protector in your hair, as long as your hair does not feel frazzled or burnt then it should be ok.
if your hair is like yours, then it is burnt. if it is silky, smooth and glossy like mine then it is fine.

You can't
when the iron is off, just get a wet washcloth and rub it off
