When you make it to mt moon after beating the pewter city gym leader, inside the cave there are 2 fossils you can find however you can only keep 1, choose the dome fossil later when you get to cinnibar island you can revive the Pokemon kabuto that's in the dome fossil, already chose your fossil and its not the dome fossil? You have to trade a kabuto from another leafgreen or firered to get one.

you have to finish the game and get the national dex. then you have to go to pal park and from a gba game make a Pokemon hold the dome fossil from gba then you catch the Pokemon with the dome fossil.

Go to the ancient ruins place or ancient relics, wherever the place is that has the unknown. Just use rocksmash on the rocks there until you find a fossil in the rubble.

to get the dome fossil you go to the ruins of alph and use the rocksmash techneique to smash the rocks. if you do not find it the first time go through the door in the ruins exit and smash again until you find this. i had to repeat this process many times to get the dome fossil.

You cannot get it in HeartGold, only in SoulSilver.

In SoulSilver, you get it in the Ruins of Alph if you use Rock smash on the breakable rocks outside. Sometimes, you will find a Dome Fossil but you'll have to be patient.

You if you smash rocks using Rock Smash in the Ruins of Alph, you may get a Dome Fossil. You can also get other items like shards or Elixirs. You may also run into a wild Pokemon.
