If you stay on constantly you will get more and you can change the date and time to their birthdays but it completly screws up the game I had to reset mine

Tap that and then turn the auto-time or whatever and you can fast foward your time for tiny tower and you can get free coins instantly. It works for Dragonvale as well for your coloseum.
