the eighth gym is located in sootopolis, which is southwest from Mossdeep. the enterance to Sootopolis is underwater, so you'll need a Pokemon who can use the HM DIVE to get in. the enterance is in a maze of underwater trenches, so it will take some searching to find it. (dive in the dark blue water)
The 8th gym is in Sootopolis City. When you get there ( Under water in a cave by route 127 and 126) you will tour around and find Steven. Steven and The Gym Leader will take you to a cave. You'll go in and find your way around but you should find Waterfall ( A TM) on your way into the cave. It's pretty easy to find. Once you get there you should battle the pokemon. Once you've defeated or caught him you can go into the gym and fight the people and The Gym Leader. Hope this helped!

∙ 13y agoThe eighth gym leader is in Sootopolis City, the city you find underwater. It's located south of Mossdeep City via surf. In the middle of the inner lake of the city, you'll find the Gym with Wally, the Water-type gym leader. Good luck =)

∙ 14y agoAfter beating the 7th gym leader and watching team aqua leave for seafloor cavern you must venture in seafloor cavern beat team aqua then go to sootopolis city then enter the cave of origin then you must go to sky pillar and wake up rayquaza then return to sootopolis city and enjoy the cutscene.

∙ 13y agoDefeat/Catch Groudon at the cave of origin. ( the cave of origin is at the sootopolis) After that you can go in the gym :)

∙ 13y agoYou have to find the submarine team Magma stole and then do all of it and fight/capture Groudon. Then the doors will open and you will be allowed to enter the gym.
