- 'Ex' means the relationship is over and your ex husband is free to have other relationships; live or get married to someone else and have children with them. It hurts especially for the spouse left behind who still loves their ex and the best way to get through this is to be honest with yourself by knowing that your ex has moved on in life and has a future and this should urge you to do the same thing. Start seeing friends; start dating. Fate often steps into your life in strange and often cruel ways such as divorce and although hard on you fate has decided this is not the person for you so you are free to go down a different road to find that special someone that you are sure to find in your future. It is common to feel hurt knowing your ex has a baby with someone else and you may feel you have no future of your own or that you will not find another love in your life, but you will.
