How do you get to death mountain in the legend of zelda ocarina of time 3D?

Climb up to the top of the cliff and run until the Goron tries to knock you off. Let him, the turn around and run back out the way you came. The shaman dude will be waiting for you at the bottom of the trail. Listen to what he says, then go to Oridon and talk to Bo. He'll teach you how to sumo wrestle and give you Iron Boots. Go back to Death Mountain and, wile wearing the Iron Boots, catch the Goron just like a goat. Be careful though, there are still more Gorons higher up the mountain.

Unless you're going to Fire Temple, there's not much to do. There's a bean hole and a skulltula or two, and two heart pieces, but not more than that. You don't really have to get past it, it's kind of a dead end.

well first of all you shouldent be in there if youre kid link or dont have the goron tunic as adult link. once you do have the goron tunic go into the cave directly up from the warp point(weird grey hexagon) to get to the fire temple

You get the letter from Zelda in the castle as a child(of course) then youll get a song then you go to the guy in kakiriko village (don't know if spelled that right)who is by the gate were the shops are at and you show him the letter and he will let you threw the gate which leads to death mountain :)

Go to Kakariko Village and to your left will be the entrance to Death Mountain. A guard will be blocking the way, simply show him the letter Zelda gave you and he will let you by. If you have no letter, go find Zelda in Hyrule Castle, you'll have to sneak past the guards though.

Next to the owl should be wall that has a dimond on it. if you check it it says "....???" blow up the wall and go inside. and play Zelda's lullaby.
