First you must drink lots of water. Having lots of water running through your system will filter out bacteria occupied water. Try to have a glass of water every 20 minutes. A major help to the recovery one is the consumption of cranberry juice. Try not to get sweetened cranberry juice or any kind of sweet thing because things too sweet can hurt your kidney and a urinary track infection can easily lead to a kidney infection which is much worst. And most of all, be sure that you go the bathroom very often. If you still drink lots of water but don't go to the bathroom just as often, all as that will do is make to infection worst, worse to a point that you can become deathly ill. BE SURE THAT YOU USE THE BATHROOM VERY OFTEN! I know that it will hurt when you use it but it will make you better and will pay off in the long run. Besides, it will hurt less every time.
