How do you unlock Ridley in super smash brothers brawl?

You can't unlock Ridley in any of the SSB games as a playable character. The rumour about a miniature Ridley being playable has been circulated by many gamers though it is possible that whoever instigated this was probably bored and decided make up this hoax (albeit using a cheating device for the Wii to manipulate the colours on Pokemon Trainer's Charaizard into making it look like the so-called miniature Ridley)to make a lot of gamers attempt to unlock something that doesn't even exist (or to the very least, a character that is not playable), similar to the Sonic and Tails rumour during the time when Melee was one of the top hits for the Gamecube. You CANNOT unlock Ridley as a playable character in SSBB! The whole rumour is false! It's just like that notorious gossip about Sonic and Tails being unlockable characters in SSBM for the Gamecube (in which they didn't even exit in that game).

Well i have heard that you must beat tabuu with samus in ur front line of characters without losing 3 lifes in a row. Ridley is probably not unlockable like the guy above me said. No one has any proof at all about him being in the game. No pictures or vids. So don't get your hopes up

You cannot unlock him but you can hack him playable during the boss battle

against him using a action replay for wii or the geeko USB

You don't, because Ridley isn't a playable character. Instead, Ridley is a boss that you face in the Subspace Emissary.

You can't play any bosses, ridley is at the end of the research facility 2, also you can beat him in boss battle mode.
