According to my friend's extensive Walkthrough (yes the webmaster is a friend of mine...) and the Shadow Monitor, Mew is not a catchable Pokemon in Pokemon:XD

∙ 12y agoin Pokemon xd there is a rumor that i heard that if you catch and purify every Pokemon (including dragonite) and go to cinidark island that and defeat grevil that you will hear a cry from far away then go and talk eagun then leave his house and there will be a shadow mew outside his door. But i havent actually done it ...sorry :-(

∙ 6y agoYou have to go to Citadark Isle and go through it, facing multiple people from Cipher along the way (there are a LOT of Shadow Pokemon, so i suggest you to bring at least 30 Ultra Balls since there are also legendaries and if you played other Pokemon games, those take a bunch of Pokeballs).
Anyways, at the end you face Master Greevil (I think that's his name) and he has Shadow Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Lugia, and if memory serves me right, Swellow and Manetric. All of them are Shadow Pokemon. If you fail to capture them, you can come back again to face Greevil and capture them.
Edit: It's Shadow Rhydon, Exeggutor and Tauros. Shadow Lugia is a single battle.

∙ 9y agoYou can only get Jirachi in Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness through trading it into the game from one of the Gameboy Advanced games of Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Emerald, Pokémon FireRed or Pokémon LeafGreen you cannot find Jirachi as a wild Pokémon or as a Shadow Pokémon in Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness in order to capture it.
