How do you get the hand cannon on Resident Evil 5?

You have to buy and fully upgrade the 'Smith and Wesson Model 29'. Once you have done this a new weapon will appear in the shop, the Hand Cannon.

First of all, you need to beat the game. Next, go to the mode called Assignment Ada. As long as you beat it, you get the Chicago Typewriter a.k.a. Tommy gun. It has infinite ammo. As for the Mathilda and the Infinite Rocket Launcher, you get that when you beat the game. In order to get the Handcannon, you need to get a 5 star ranking on all of the places with all 5 people. In the PS2 and Wii versions, if you beat Separate Ways quick enough, you will unlock the Plaga Removal Laser a.k.a. PRL. This gun has no ammo, its infinite and you get to destroy those stupid ganados. And, you get to beat up the regenerators even faster than before. It's definitely one of the more funner weapons you get. The only downfall of the PRL is that you have to charge it up a to its full capacity in order to get your killings. Another thing you can use it for is to stun your enemies so that you can Kick them all you want.

In order to get the Handcannon, you must achieve a 5 star ranking with Leon, Ada, Krauser, Hunk and Wesker. What you need to do is go to the four places the village, the castle, the island (part 1) and the island (part 2) with any of these characters. You must have a score of at least 60,000 in order to get a 5 star ranking. My suggestion do Hunk or Leon first. They are the harder ones. Then, do Ada. She is okay except for the lack of health. Krauser and Wesker are the easier ones. Krauser has an arm that you get to use. You can only use it when Krauser's arm is red. If you are playing the Gamecube version, press X to get his arm out. It is a one hit KO. If its the PS2 version, its R2(I think). For the Wii, I have no idea. You will have to guess that yourself. Wesker uses his superhuman powers. Although he has no ammo for any of his guns, he is quite prepared to take on any foe including the chainsaw ladies, the one on the island(part 2), the claw guy at the castle and JJ with his Killer 7. His Rifle semi-auto is almost perfect and guarantees a one hit KO. His Handgun is equipped with a silencer that is no where seen in the game. This gun is fully loaded and has the exclusive. You have a better chance of eliminating the plagas if they show up. You do not have to use a Flash Grenade to get rid of them unless you have to. He has only one Incendiary Grenade but this does kill the ganados in one hit. Definitely use his thrust punch (you must hit the enemy in the head) or his chinko chagi (axe kick) (you must hit the enemy in the knee).

She's okay just the lack of health can get annoying. As for Krauser and Wesker, it's much easier for them. Have fun and toy around with the characters. You can even go as far as to set a good high score with someone that you are going to be good at. For me, my best is Wesker. My best place is the castle with a score of about 170,000. As for the other places, I have my scores at least in the 100,000's. That's what you get through time and patience.
