click on where it says essential(or whatever you are using) and click anyone of them, example animating. Then everything should go default, for whatever you chose, then switch back.

It does work! Apparently you haven't tried it! If it broke, take it back.

In my years of Director and Flash development, I've noticed only the language is different (Director = Lingo, Flash = ActionScript) and that in Director, you can have actors (symbols in Flash) play back at their own frame rate, where as Flash will only play back at the frame rate in the project's global settings specified by the user. Flash can create Projector files like Director use to and since the introduction of ActionScript 3.0, Flash is quite a powerful and fast programming tool, so I think Director is phasing out.
The latest version of Adobe Flash player can be downloaded from the Adobe website (See links below) for computers running Mac OS X. The full Flash Professional development software is available for Mac OS X 10.5 and higher.
ctrl+2 or you can click "window" on the top and click "tools"
You only need the most current version if you want to be able to view all versions. As for the browser plugins, I believe that only one can be installed. There is also the Adobe Media Player which plays back other movie formats.
There is a small access panel in the back to the left as your looking through the back hatch. It shares the same access as the car jack kit. No tools are necessary to open the panel.
