You have to turn on the DHCP server and assign the ip address range. It should be written in the manual how to set up the DHCP server. If you don't have the manual you can download it form the manufacture website, if you cannot find it at all just tell us the router model and we'll try to help you.

- plug in the router
- take a Ethernet cord and insert one end into the router, and one end into the modem. Make sure the cord on the router is plugged into the input jack on the router.
- install any software that comes with your router and make sure to add a WEP Key!
- look for the SSID of the router by performing a scan through the network
- connect your computer or device and enter the WEP key to use the network
