Many may be surprised when reading what Jesus said about going to Heaven:
John 3:13New International Version (NIV)13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven-the Son of Man.[a]
Jesus taught in the 'Beatitudes' (Matthew 5) that we will inherit the Earth. Revelation 21 tells us of God the Father descending from Heaven to live among His new sons and daughters for eternity.
So we do not go to Heaven but must chose to repent and follow Jesus as our perfect example or chose not to and seal our faith in the Lake of Fire - the 2nd and final death (Romans 6:23). This is the gift of God as our souls are not immortal as some teach this Greek/Egyptian philosophy.

∙ 14y agoIn Christianity, the answer is yes. This has happened to a descendant of Adam and Eve ONCE, as recorded in the book of Genesis. Enoch, the son of Jared, was so close to God that God brought Enoch into heaven without dying (Genesis 5:24). However, God also declared that the descendants of Adam and Eve will die (Genesis 3:19). This shows that Enoch will eventually be sent back to Earth for the mere purpose of death, fulfilling God's word.

But there is a place inside and around us that one can be perfect and in union with God without having to die first: The Kingdom of God. This kingdom is like heaven, perhaps the same. If you become perfect and your soul is knit to God's you will enter the Kingdom of God and be happy in spirit and self. Some people teach that you cannot become perfect on earth or experience this place with God, but it is possible! Anything is possible with God. So keep climbing and obeying, and you will reach His kingdom on earth and therefore when you die, you will go to heaven.
