How do you handle your period in middle school?

You carry a purse with a number of pads in it. When you have your period you tend to gain weight, and be just a little bit pudgier, but don't worry it's normal, and all it takes is eating healthy and doing light exercises. Also when you go to school don't were tight jeans, or eally any tight clothing. It can make you uncomfortable, and probably cause cramps. Also don't wear where white underpants,(you know just in case). Wear your most comfortable clothes. If you're prone to having a lot of cramps, then tell your school nurse, and mom, so you'll be allowed to have advil, and relief medicine for cramps at school And most middle schools have sanitary disposal cases in the bathroom stalls for your period. Really periods can be alright in middle school, and the more you realize it you'll see you're not the only one.

If it happens at school, you may feel embarrassed, but menstruation is a normal part of life for girls once they reach puberty. Chances are the first time you get your period, you will notice staining on your underpants, which is an indication that your period is starting. If you feel you are getting your period, you should tell your teacher, who will send you to the school nurse; in the nurse's office, there will be sanitary napkins or tampons available for you to use. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict when you will get your first period, making it harder to prepare for it. Nice to hear from you. I actually remember this happening to my best friend. Anyway if you are not shy to talk about it you should ask your teacher, principal or someone at your school if they have one. Or if you have 25 cents there is probably a pad dispenser at your school. Finally if all else fails you can always fold toillet paper up and place it in your underwear until you get home.
