If the mother isn't around because it has died, and the kits are still very young, this is what you can do: (my kits were at 10 days when this happened to me) Buy yourself some small eye droppers and a bunch of baby food bottles, such as pureed carrot, applesauce, etc. I used others, but can't remember them, it was something green, possibly peas. In a small bowl or cup, mix them together, heat them up until they are *just* lukewarm in the microwave, and feed them the mixture with the eye droppers. My kits absolutely loved it. This was several years ago, so I don't remember how long it was till they were eating on their own, so your best bet is to keep a supply of hay in the cage with them at all times, so they will have it when ready, and make sure they have plenty of water. Be sure to take them to a vet to ensure they are doing alright.
The correct term for a baby rabbit is a kit and the mother is a doe. Males are bucks.
yes why not..every mother do it.
no they can not
usually not... but a mother rabbit would eat her baby if it died
Yes, The father rabbit plays no role in raising babies. The mother and babies are on their own.
after 6 weeks
A Baby Rabbit is called a kit if that is you question.
When the baby rabbit is weaned and old enough to be taken from his/her mother. Normally around 8-10 weeks.
The baby is said to be premature.
nope that rumor is totally false. she probably wont even notice but sometimes if the baby is new born and a human touches it, the smell rubs off and the mother rabbit kills it thinking its not hers. when the mother rabbit gets used to her baby and officially knows it's her's, she doesn't care.
15 days
no not unless they have wierd powers or something or at least i wouldn't think so
