You must hold the rifle firmly with it pressed into your shoulder (straight up in front of your arm pit). Your right hand will be holding the grip right behind the trigger and your left hand will be holding the wood or plastic stock area below the barrel.
Pull it gently back into your shoulder, push the safety to "fire" , aim, and gently pull the trigger.
I would recommend if you don't even know how to hold one you should take a firearms safety class.
