on a 1999 gmc 1500 suburban 5.7 l where is the ac condensor
easily put, ALOT! but you truck did come with a option for AC so the swap is possible with little fabrication. First off you need to find a your truck that came with AC (possibly pick n pull or a wrecking yard) and you will need the following; AC compressor, condensor, accumulator, evaporator box, blower unit and all the under dash ducting. Next is installing all of this. Or you could uy a aftermrket unit and doesnot sit under your dash but you will still need the compressor, condensor and accumulator.
"Which one is better split AC or window AC?""Which one is better split AC or window AC?"
This may or may not be the problem, but if your condensor fan has frozen up, it will blow the fuse every time. Both the Fan and the Condensor unit run off of the same fuse... I had the same problem, and i just unhooked the wiring harness where if plugs into the condensor fan for a little while so that the AC still worked while I found a replacement...
