Use a class III b3 hitch. It only uses 2 bolts to attach to the frame and then 4 bolts to attach the center "A" portion to the "B" portion. The edges of the gas tank may need to be curled up/down 1/4" to give the bracket enough room to line up the holes with the Cherokee frame.
I suggest you purchase a receiver type hitch. They come with complete instructions.
