To install a hacking app on the Homebrew Channel, first, ensure your Wii is properly homebrewed with the Homebrew Channel installed. Download the desired hacking app's files from a trusted source and extract them to your computer. Place the app's folder in the "apps" directory on your SD card, then insert the card back into your Wii and launch the Homebrew Channel. Select the app from the menu to run it.
Launches apps not made by Nintendo

The Homebrew Channel is an unofficial channel used to load homemade applications that people have written. It isn't illegal but Nintendo is no longer held responsible for damages to the wii console.
You will need Gecko OS. It is an app for Homebrew, just like apps for ipod touch. The Homebrew channel is just used to run it, and other things.

No you can't. Before getting the homebrew channel, the only way to transfer data to the wii is by SD card, unfortunately. The usb ports in the back can only be used for wii controllers and ethernet adapters (until you get the homebrew channel, of course).
Yes, but you must install the Homebrew Channel and a USB loader.
